BEST CHANCE TOO a strong 2nd in Ludington! |
BEST CHANCE TOO took a strong 2nd place finish this weekend in the Gander Mountain Ludington Offshore Classic in a tough field of 51 Pro boats. Showing amazing consistency, BEST CHANCE TOO had two boxes of fish that were only one-tenth of a pound apart for the Saturday/Sunday event. Running north almost to Manistee to find their fish, BEST CHANCE TOO was 8th after Day One. Day Two saw a number of teams fall when conditions changed and their fish moved, but BEST CHANCE TOO was able to repeat their Day One success and move up in the standings.

BEST CHANCE TOO wins Waukegan! |
| BEST CHANCE TOO continues it's winning streak, becoming the only team to receive a check in every tournament this year. BEST CHANCE TOO won the top prize in the 2008 Pfc. Geoffrey Morris Memorial Governor's Cup in Waukegan, IL this past weekend. Taking home the $15,000 first prize, Capt. Dave Engel said "We have been close in every tournament this season and we felt it was only a matter of time before things fell into place and we won one. Thanks to all our sponsors for their fine products and help. Winning is a team effort and we are proud to reach the top again in 2008."

Tournament Trail "Team of the Year" |
|
"In 2007, BEST CHANCE TOO clearly stood out. Dave and Bill have gained the respect of every tournament team and clearly they are the team to beat. So what exactly is it that allows a team to find and catch their fish within the time constraints of each event? Instinct? Networking? Experience? Luck? Any one of those things can carry a team to a great day on the lake, but I believe that a team needs all of them to establish consistency. In 2007, BEST CHANCE TOO utilized all the above and had a very successful season. Successful enough so that no matter how you score it, they are the 2007 Tournament Trail Team of the Year. Congratulations!" - Fred MacDonald, Tournament Trail |
